Agate - general
Description: Red / orange / brown / black with patterns, stripes, and/or banding

Good for general protection and very effective for protecting children. Helps in healing - especially blood disorders, skin and intestines. Increases Strength, restores bodily energy, increases courage, and tends to promote longevity. Removes envious thoughts and spite, while easing stressful situations. Agates, especially banded, are good for meditation. Carried while gardening, this stone increases plants’ fertility and health.

Amazonite
Description: Hot green with grey / white markings

Attracts money and luck. Great for gambling ! Good for increasing concentration, completing projects, expanding emotional expression to promote healing. Turns emotional grief into creativity.

Amber
Description: Usually Golden, but may also be red, creamy, black. Translucent, trasparent, cloudy.

Excellent for use in rituals for enhancing your beauty and attractiveness. Helps to attract love and stimulates happiness and pleasure. Amber is used as both a good luck and protective amulet, and is extremely protective against negative magick which has been directed against you. When placed on the altar, it can increase the effectiveness of your spells. Amber is said to increase strength while relieving or curing health conditions. Amber is also very useful in protecting children.

Amegreen
Description: Pale Purple Amethyst and Pale Green Quartz Together

Very powerful at drawing money - especially in business and/or investment.Wonderful for calming and soothing along with calming fears and reducing stress. Look for this stone to help increase "luck" and can add a little energy to magickal powers.

Amethyst
Description: Translucent purple with white / clear chevron pattern

A must-have in the Magick realm ! Helps to calm fears and reduce stress. Dispels both doubts and negativity while it relieves depression. Promotes good judgement and induces vivid dreams. Amethyst increases mental powers, which makes it incredibly useful in psychism. Also draws pure and true emotional love.

Ametrine
Description: Translucent purple Amethyst and Golden Citrine Together

Angelite

Aphrodite
Named for the Goddess, this pink stone is useful in love magick. Helps to open up the heart chakra and allow you to receive love, while at the same time increasing your ability to give love. Useful in magick designed to help draw true love and find your soul mate. Aphrodite is also useful in promoting fidelity and trust in an established relationship.

Aquamarine
Description: Translucent to transparent light sea blue / green

Azurite
A dark blue stone which can heal emotional trauma, confusion, blocks, and negativity. This stone is also useful in working with spirit guides, animal guides, and the Goddess. It is also said to increase psychic healing ability and aid in visualization.

Barite
This interesting stone is peach and black. It is helpful in rituals and spells designed to clear obstacles in one's life path. Using barite helps to conserve energy, and so is helpful for those who have immune problems or who are excessively anxious or stressed. Helps to promote a balanced energy flow in the user.

Beryl
Description: Various colors - usually translucent or cloudy

Combines higher spiritual dimensions with unconditional love on the physical plane. Very good for healing - in addition to awakening analytical abilities and enviromental concerns. Can be used or grounding

Chrysocolla
Description: beautiful Blue-green.

Can drive - off unreasonable fears and illussions. Soothes emotions and creates peace. Increases wisdom and knowledge, creates discretion, and attracts love.

Chrysoprase
This is one of MoonRaven's favorite stones!!! It is a beautiful apple-green colored stone from Australia, which is useful in soothing heartache and loneliness, promoting emotional balance, and granting inner strength and peace. Chrysoprase can help to promote courage and can open and heal old traumas and grief. It is also a helpful stone to use in creating a bond of trust with the Goddess.

Citrine
Description: see-through/translucent orange/smokey orange with some clear quartz

Wear this stone at night to help prevent nightmares and to have a good night's sleep. Helps to tap into user's power to give energy to magick. Can be used as a good luck stone. Helps to increase self-esteem. An excellent stone to use for promoting creativity. Also good for psychic awareness and protection.

Clear Quartz
Description: Clear, see-through

This stone has the ability to be programmed with the powers of ANY OTHER STONE, and then substituted for that stone in any ritual. Great for psychism and as a general magickal power amplifier. Can be used to relieve headaches, reduce fevers and calm toothaches. Great for use in building a magick circle.

Copper

This metal is good for a multitude of things. Copper is a great electrical conductor, which makes it great for directing Magickal energy. It is also a wonderful healing and good luck metal. Finally, copper offers love attraction, money attraction, and general protection.

Coral

This is very old coral that has turned to agate. Good for protection, healing, peace, wisdom, and gardening. An excellent repressentation for the God/Goddess or "spirit" element - ina addition to any water/sea element. Placed on graves for protection.

Danburite
Description: Clear, transparent

A diamond substitute. Increase energy levels along with wisdom and knowledge. Gives a good boost to communication abilities and self esteem. Can be programmed with the powers of any other stone.

Dumortierite
Description: Blue and Black

Reduces excitability and eliminates stubbornness. Excellent at increasing patience. A good stone for breaking illusions and showing the truth. Can help you "stand up for yourself" in situations where this is needed. Increases personal energy and stamina in harsh environments. Can help you verbalize your spiritual ideas.

Emerald
Description: Green with some black & white. Gem quality is traslucent - transparent

Simply excellent for love and friendship rituals. Excellent at drawing wealth and success ... especially in business situations. Can also help draw attention to your business. Increases memory and psychic abilities. Very good for protection ... especially protection from evil. If you have not received a raise in your job, or you feel that your good work goes unnoticed by your boss, use emerald to attract due attention and recognition.

Flourite
Description: Green, Blue, Teal, Yellow, Clear, pink some banded

Works well to strengthen the power of all other stones. It helps to straighten out the thoughts, and has the ability to reduce the level of emotions in any situation, so that a more accurate, logical perspective can be had. It also heightens analytical abilities, and effectively lowers anger, depression, and desperation. Many times, flourite is also used in healing rituals.
